Company ProfileRIMJET Corporation is the manufacturer of prosthetic component parts for upper extremity prostheses. It is based in Sarasota, Florida. Its products include body-powered Humeral Rotation Unit with positive locking, the Friction Free Cable System, Supinator-Pronator with positive locking and Specialty Products. In addition to the prosthetic component parts listed above, we manufacture specialty items to aid the patient with activities of daily living. Among these items is the Instant Bidet designed especially to aid in personal hygiene without the aid of a caregiver, a dressing tree to aid in putting on a tee shirt and enabling the patient to put on the prostheses without assistance. Another item is a pant lifter that enables the patient to put on a pair of pants and a sock installer, which enables the patient to put on a pair of socks easily. Ivko is vice president of the Venice, Florida Amputee Support Group. He is also a member of the Edison Inventor’s Group in Fort Myers, Florida. He is on the Advisory Board for the Center of Independent Living in Sarasota, Florida. He is an associate member of the Florida Association of Plumbing, Gas and Mechanical Inspectors. BiographyJoseph J. Ivko, Sr. acts in the capacity of a Consultant for RIMJET Corporation. He was born in 1925. After graduating Hammond Technical Institute, in Hammond, Indiana he served in the United States Marine Corp in the South Pacific from 1943 thru 1946. He attended Brantley Draughn Business College in Fort Worth, Texas from 1946 thru 1948. His electrical experience is in Transmission and Distribution. While employed in 1966 he sustained injuries that resulted in Trans- humeral bilateral amputations. Since then he has become an inventor and a developer of prosthetic components.
